Cost Effectiveness Comparison
Cost and cost effectiveness are always of major concern to the
home or business owner. By using WPC-R5, it’s possible to show over 50%
savings and have a healthy roof.
The following is an example:
There is a simple way of calculating the
savings of applying WPC-R5. All figures will be computed on the basis
of a 3,000 square foot roof (30 squares) and on a pitch of less than
8/12. A shake roof (average) sells for $2.75 per square foot. If we
multiply $2.75 X 3,000 sq. feet, we get $8,250. If we compute this over
a 20 year period (a more than realistic life expectancy for most areas
in the United States) and divide $8,250 (the cost of a new roof) by 20
(the number of years the roof may last), we arrive at $412.50. This is
the cost of allowing your roof to deteriorate, per year.
Comparing this same roof scenario using
WPC-R5, we multiply 3,000 square feet by $.30 to $.35 (average cost of
the WPC-R5 system) and arrive at approximately $1,000. It will be
necessary to re-treat the roof three times at five-year intervals to
achieve a 20-year term. These three applications will cost
approximately $1,000 each for a grand total amount of around $3,000 for
a 20 year-year period. If we take $3,000 and divide it by 20, we’ll
have a cost-per-year for the WPC-R5 treatments of $145.
WPC-R5 provides the following reasons for purchase:
|
1.
Provides a major cost savings to owners (over 50% annually) over a
20-year period & saves the large cost of re-roofing
2. Improves the appearance of the home or business by its ability to
beautify, stop curling & protect the building
3. Gives increased protection against moss, fungus, sun, rain &
insect infestation without pressure washing cost effectiveness
comparison.
